Calculates radius, spoke length, outer edge segment length, and required PVC stick quantities. Constants are preset: 20° angle, 2.54" spoke offset to account for center hub, and 9" outer edge segment factor to account for 8 tee fittings.
Instructions (steps to build your pool cover)
- Measure the pool diameter at the widest point.
- Radius = Diameter / 2
- Spoke length = (Radius − 2.54") / cos(20°)
- Outer edge segment length = (π × Diameter - 9") / 8
- Cut 8 spokes from ¾” Schedule 40 PVC and 8 edge segments from ¾” Schedule 20 PVC.
